Rhea L. Zwerin

Rhea was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. After attending the University of Cincinnati for one year, the craving for a change to do something new and exciting led her to enlist in the United States Marine Corps. During her enlistment, her adventurous desires landed her in Jacksonville, NC; Yuma, AZ; Okinawa, Japan; and a short trip to Denmark. However, the real adventure began when she was deployed in 2003 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After 20 years of service, Rhea retired from the Marines in 2004.
Shortly after Rhea’s military career, she began anew working from an Optometrist in Jacksonville, NC as an Optical Technician. During this time, she also reached her goal of qualifying for and participating in the Boston Marathon. After seven years of eyeballs, she decided to return to school once again to pursue a career with numbers. Rhea received her Associates in Applied Sciences for Accounting from Cape Fear Community College in 2013.
After traveling to different areas around the United States and abroad, Rhea realized she had fallen in love with the coastal area of North Carolina. In turn, the decision to stay was an easy one and made the shore move from Jacksonville to Wilmington. Rhea has a wonderful daughter who she gets to visit in Florida.
